JULIE JACOBUS, A.B.C.D.T. Julie has been training dogs and their people professionally for over 8 years and has experienced many methods of training, but has honed her skills as a positive reinforcement trainer, believing that positive reinforcement training brings out the best in dogs and their people. Julie graduated with honors from Animal Behavioral College is 2002. She is a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (A.P.D.T. #66700), an American Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR Instructor, an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (#11058), and performs volunteer work for many rescue groups including Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Lucky Ones, and Labrador Retriever Rescue. Julie works at the Humane Society of Charles County as a dog trainer, canine evaluator, behaviorist and also conducts the Baby Ready Pets program. She provides regular training classes at the shelter, as well as private instruction to her clients throughout Southern Maryland.
